I took the expensive Shimano kit and my Alfine 11 equiped bicycle and designed a superior (in my opinion) and cheaper kit. I had to buy quite a few more components than I needed but I can share the financial and technical advantages with other Alfine 11 owners.
•Kit includes petrochemical stable syringe for new SG-S700 oil.
•Kit includes second petrochemical stable syringe for used oil avoiding cross contamination or need to clean.
•Kit includes petrochemical stable synthetic polymer bleed nipple that cannot damage hub threads (unlike Shimano metal item that easily damages threads).
•Kit includes petrochemical stable 'o' ring for bleed nipple (keep the original safe with the hub drain bolt).
•Kit includes petrochemical stable clear hose for connecting syringe to bleed nipple .
•Kit includes Service Instructions.
•Does not include an oil containerfor recycling used oil to save costs.
•Does not include new SG-S700 oil(I have a reliable supplier for this expensive oil, just ask).
•3mm allen key is needed to carry out this maintenance, I have these.
•I can supply a second bleed nipple, 'o' ring and hose to reduce cross contamination of used and new oil. In my opinion it is not worth the extra cost.
•Shimano kit only contains 1 each of syringe, metal bleed nipple, hose, container.
