Shimano 5800 vs SLX chain

They have the same HG601 code except the SLX chain has the CN prefix. Are they they same chain or is there any difference?

The CN prefix simply means chain, like CS means cassette or BR means brake in Shimano speak. If it’s a HG601 chain then it’s a CN-HG601. No difference.
