Was looking at this today and hadn’t realised how weird the teeth shapes are on the biggest cog, some flat and low, some pointy, some symmetrical. Presume it’s to keep chain on at extreme of chainline ?

I’m pretty sure it’s an attempt to get it to shift as it’s quite an extreme jump between that and the next cog, normally is doesn’t need to be anywhere near as extreme.

EDIT: Apparently the rest of the cassette is the same as the 11-42 so just a swap of the big cog 😯 a jump of 37t to 46t is huge!

Have a close look at your chainrings too. You’d be surprised how many folks would come into the shop complaining that they’d chipped off too easily.

Interesting, thanks. First ride today on new bike with this 1×11 setup and was more impressed than I thought I would be. Shifting was smooth and the jumps on the lowest 2 was fine for the steep climbs.
