Seems I got my pike to do an impression of a marzocchi 55 – half an inch of undamped travel followed by a loud clunk. I assume I need to call "uncle tim's" next week but, in the meantime has anyone got a good guess what it might be/cost/need ? Is it common ?

    Schadenfreude(?spellen?) fans:
This was noticed at the top of a 6 mile climb in 90 degree heat, just as I turned round for the fantastic descent (still had to, no other sensible option bar walking it). I was hanging so far off the back to protect the fork I could hardly steer & my legs were knackered for days after 🙁
And it was on day 3 of a 2 week holiday & no LBS could service in time to get me riding again so had to buy a new fork 👿
