I just commented to a friend that I often relieve myself (not like that) in the shower. He thought this disgusting, but commented that he frequently wees in his garden, despite having a toilet within easy access, he uses the garden through choice. In a previous house he would pee out of the ground floor window rather than go to the toilet. I think this is very peculiar.

I pee in the shower, don’t see any problem. Urine is pretty sterile when it leaves your body and get’s washed straight down the plughole.

No problem with peeing in the garden, not overlooked I assume!

However, that ground floor window thing is just plain weird!

I’ll piss in the shower, outside on grass or gravel. Sometimes I’ll even go in the sink whilst I brush my teeth rather than stepping 3 feet to the right to use the bog. It’s all fair game.

Makes sense as that 3 feet gap probably shouldn’t get urine over it as you move from sink to bowl.

I’ve pretty much always used the opportunity to go to the loo while in the shower – saves water, more hygenic, etc etc.

The worst part is having to push the more solid bits down the plughole.

Pissed out the bedroom window once, i was so drunk getting to the toilet would have been an adventure.

I was aware we’d done peeing in the shower, it was a reasoned discussion on the comparative weirdness of shower versus garden I was aiming for, subtly different you see!

I’m glad people agree the window thing is very odd. I believe it’s just into the garden via another means, rather than the patio/drive.

weeing in the compost heap helps it to mature, so is to be encouraged. Weeing in the shower is just normal behaviour isn’t it?

Just about the worst place to pee is the WC pan because it splashes back all over the place, drips on the floor and if your aim is bad, the whole area around the hinges gets soaked and urine congeals around the foot and stinks. I have even installed a Laufen home urinal (with aiming fly) in our downstairs loo, which is much better for chaps than standing at the pan and splashing everything.

The lawn will grow greener if you wee on it every morning and there’s nothing wrong with weeing in the shower.

I pee in my own shower, but not in someone else’s. Garden is normal. Out of the ground floor window definitely not.

Shower – yes.
Garden – Less normal, but no issues
Window – Odd, no.

Human urine contains high level of nitrogen and significant levels of potassium.

Weeing on your vegetable patch makes a lot more sense than weeing down the loo.
