I wanted to change the travel on my RS Revs. If a complete brain **** moment I undid the same side , rather than the air spring side.
No piggy – all goes back together okay but ….

SRAM servicing says fill the damper leg with 123ml of 5 wt oil …
But when I drained the oil out , it only came to around 65 mls. Does that mean the damper has another 60 mlm hidden somewhere … or am I missing someone major?

Also, I don’t have any 5 wt … but I do have 10wt …. what happens if I use that?
    Will I notice a difference?
Is it such a stupid question I should ask it?
BTW , I have ordered some 5 wt … but at 100 kgs just wondering…..
    Thank

You probably need to cycle the damper a few times to get all the oil out. Using 10W oil will massively increase your damping. Better to use the correct grade, IMHO, unless you have a specific need to change. (There can be quite a difference between manufacturers, even for the same grade.) Your local motorbike shop will probably stock suspension oil in a suitable viscosity.
