Good luck, and fingers crossed for all those waiting for news of Secondary School Allocations today. Our eldest daughter has got a place at her first choice school and is over the moon!

That’s a bit far for a daily school run

Youngest daughter got in to her first choice. School is 200m from home so a place was pretty much certain.

My lad is into his first choice school aswell, the grammar school he wanted but he did come 2nd in the entrance exam (of about 1800) so I am pleased for him but knew the outcome of today was likely. He is a clever lad but 2nd was beyond our expectations, has cost me a small fortune in a lost bet with him.

Mine has to get through final auditions yet and even then there may be no places.

Yes, I think its a tough day for a lot of kids, and for parents knowing they are powerless if it hasn’t gone to plan.
