Obviously different mat'ls fail in differing ways. There are great uses for CF and after all the years of F1 using it, I've no concerns there.

Could TR have just got a bit cheeky with their design ?, were there other factors involved ?. I'm sure TR and the race stewards will want to know and regain their confidence in the TRs ability to race safely.

I don't think Bernie would want to see that happen again !, indeed none of us would, so I'm sure that someone will have a quiet word with someone else…

They were made from MMC

Up until this year they would have been but the regs changed for 2010, uprights MUST be aluminium. Composites are specifically forbidden.
