I’m sure this thread will upset a few of the timid souls on Stw but the truth is most folk have access to watching films before they are actually released in the cinema.
So for any realist’s what have you watched and how did you rate them.?

For me :

Lone Survivor : Very goood movie and pretty brutal , fairly eye opening that the tribes protected the American troop.

The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty : I really liked this , A strange film kinda like ‘Life of Pi’ with the dream sequences but actually way better with Ben Stiller doing for Greenland / Iceland what Peter Jackson did for NZ.

Rush : Probably my favourite film of last year , I knew the james Hunt story from growing up with my dad being a F1 nut. That said Ron Howard has made the best Sports film in a long time . Truly amazing film.

American Hustle : Really cool movie , remininescent of Casino for me but not really the same subject . Amy Adams is hot but Jennifer Lawrence steals the show.

Also watched Bad Grandpa which was pretty funny but not in the same league as above.

Long walk to freedom, rush, 12 years a slave, wolf of wall street. All worth a watch.

12 years a slave is the pick out of them all though.

Saw Rush in the cinema, it was great. Wolf of Wall Street sounds interesting also, going to add this to my to watch list.
