I came up with Semolina and so did my wife.

Brakes where are you getting these words from? there is no h or d and I’m not convinced that semioval is a word!….my nexus doesn’t recognise it! 😆

If someone played za and al against me then I’d probably just quit there and then.

By starting from the Triple Letter above the S, you will at the very least be opening up the Triple Word for your opponent. If you’re really unlucky they will be able to use the Triple and Double!!
    What about stalklike for 26?

This is the problem with scrabble – people memorising the stupid 2 letter word list. Not really sporting.

Upwords is a much better game as it rewards creativity with long words.

Anyway. Does anyone know of a higher scoring word than “quetzals”?

I went “BRATS” along the top of vied. Double, double so got 40 odd points. Left the triple open though.

    I know. 😐
Boils mine too, but them’s the vagaries.

You can’t help picking a few of the two letter words up, but actively memorizing them should be a capital offence.
As, of course, should be cheating at pub quizzes & online chess.

It’s not cheating as such, but learning all the two letter words just takes the fun out of the game.

Playing Scrabble with a someone who actively competes in tournaments is almost as soul destroying as analysing poetry or ripping the wings of Hummingbirds to see how they fly.
    It ruins the magic. 😀

How do you feel about Q and Z being 10 pointers when you can now use them in 2 letter words. I hate V, I can never get rid of it.

I play it on the Facebook app with a mate, it helpfully lists all the 2-letter words in one of the side bars.

And that up there ^^ is not a proper Scrabble board…

I paid £5 for the proper scrabble app ,as did my friend. Even with iPads next to each other they can’t find each other.
Has anyone remotely played with the official app?
