With respect to his mother I’d disagree. There are loads of people who can serve as a warning not to do drugs, but only one guy who started BMX racing and freeestyle and the impact of that is so much more – I know a lot of people for whom BMX has given them an outlet when otherwise they would have joined in with the rest of the gangs making trouble etc. There is a massive family of BMX riders for whom without BMX their lives would be very different, myself included.
