No, it’s important to some people to dress in order to look like dicks

Guess what they think you look like in your tight lycra and little beer belly on a bike! 😉

I like a nice scarf. However if you wear a scarf with just a t-shirt you should be culled

My wife has lots of scarves – I don’t.

Completely inaccurate. I don’t wear lycra and I have a massive beer belly.

How does one wear a scarf pretentiously?

I may start, just for fun…

scarves don’t really keep you warm, they’re more of an accessory, not that that’s a bad thing

They stop drafts around your neck, which makes you feel cold. I don’t always like a coat or jacket done right up to the neck, it feels constricting, but a scarf of some sort helps keep the warmth in, like wearing a hat keeps warmth in and helps me feel cosy. Anyone who thinks it’s in any way not manly to wear one is a muppet.

there were some bombaclaat kids talking about Keffiyeh/Shemagh scarves on the bus the other day – they were referring to them as Talibans

Then you’re wearing them all wrong!

I have loads of scarves, in all sorts of colours and multi-coloured permutations. Some with sequins/tassles on, I look dead cool. 🙄

    I wear a buff too.

    Do I need therapy?

No love; you need some nice shoes to go with that scarf.

    I have ONE scarf.

it’s white, with thin blue & yellow stripes across it at 6in intervals.

I wear it when I wear my other tribal regalia to go to football matches AND AT NO OTHER TIME – it’s never that cold in God’s own country that I need it for actually keeping warm 😉

I have a plain grey fleece one, it looks cool with a plain black coat

it has to be really cold otherwise
    a) you look a tool
    b) you overheat and end up trying to stow it, which makes it therefore not cool

Around your neck or wrist at a football match, but not anywhere else. It never gets that cold down here anyway :P.

It doesn’t have to be cold, to look cool! Look at the face > 8)

yeah but face it, you can never look cool wearing a football scarf 😉

surely the words scarfe and cool shouldn’t be in the same sentence (unless it’s “it’s a little cool so i’m going to put a scarfe on”).

Oh yeah, my personal fav’ is a Paul Smith one, it looks cool even when it’s not being worn.

Once the temperature drops below 5C and the wind picks up then I will wear one as I hate getting a cold neck!

Fashions take a while to catch on in deepest darkest Lancashire.

Grum, apparently those tea-towel thingies (oops, that’s a bit non-PC) are actually made in your neck of the woods, at Lappet Mill

I have no problem with wearing scarves as a general concept – it’s just often the execution….
