    Hi

Rebuilt me dad’s Superlight with some new pivot bearings but something didn’t seam right. Should there be a bearing spacer between the 2 bearings inside the frame? When doing up the pivot axle you can only put a tiny bit of load on it otherwise the bearings are under side load which seams a bit odd or is that how it should to be?

    Cheers

I’m guessing this is a pre ’07 superlight? I’m no expert but on mine the bolts have to be tight enough or else the bearing just slides on the axle. From looking at it i think the caps clamp the races of the bearing not the seals so is probably ok. 4 years since i changed mine and still no play but the bolts do come loose occasionally
