Warburtons should always be folded, never ever cut, proper butties are always single slice foldies, another fact, everyone who works for warburtons is related !

Triangles are for people who are unable to or lack the confidence to estimate halfway. They use the corners as a fool-proof guide for half the surface area.
For those of us who aren’t ham-fisted dimwits, lacking mathematical judgement, it’s rectangles every time.

Triangles are for ponces and southerners

You say that like they’re two different things

Sometimes as an indulgence I will cut my toast into a triangle . It makes me feel posh.
Sad ,I know. Thing is, it’s a rare treat because in London we only have artisan bread ,the shape of which varies . 😉

Triangles are only for pre-cut toast slices in the B+B
Won’t even get pre-made triangular sarnies unless I have to
Rectangles always – toast whole slice or cut in 2 rectangles, or sarnie might be one slice folded over (then another slice, of course).

No cut at all here for either. That’s wasting valuable eating time.

Rectangles. Triangles are for ponces and southerners.

Coming from the man(?) with the dualit toaster who likes bread so thin he has to get someone else to slice it for him?

You’re obviously an authority on the subject. 😛

also . curse you mothers pride poster….

i cycled to the village this afternoon in search of some plain bread.

    no dice.

Will have to go up the smoke and see if any of the big shops have it.

doesnt seem fashionable any more…. once upon a time i could consume a loaf of that in a day with jam.

Ffs southerners are not triangle cutters.

How in our green, pleasant and sun drenched part of the country where artisan hand kneaded rolls and delicately caressed and individually crafted loaves are the most basic of bready comestibles could we possibly cut such beautiful forms into mere triangles.

You northerners are completely lacking in an appreciation of the finer points of optimised bread shape subdivision.

Toast shouldn’t be cut at all.
Sandwiches should be cut in half along their short axis.

Why would you cut a sandwich? Do you work for British Rail? Are you trying to convince me you’ve been more generous with the filling than you have?
