We’re in Samoens planning a few rides. Apparently it’s easy to link to Flaine and Morillon, but it’s not obvious how from the vtt summer map.

Plan is to (somehow) get from Samoens to Flaine, then up to the Grandes Platieres and ride the descents to Sixt and Samoens.

The VTT map shows DH trails under the Samoens chairlift, but not how to get to the other resorts from the top. Flaine is nearly 1000m higher than Samoens after all.

I’ll try a bike shop tomorrow, but any help would be appreciated.

Ah, seems like the Chariande lift is closed this summer, explains some of my confusion!

Still keen to get to Flaine and up the DMC if anyone knows how?

Is the lift in morillon running? You can get to les carroz from there and you might be able to get to flaine from carroz…

Can’t remember exactly though, it’s easier on a snowboard. Not this time of year though!!

Up the Sameons lift and then drop down the D106 to Flaine and catch the cable car up to the high station from there was how I did it

John – sounds like the Chariande lift was open when you did that.
