So the time has come to treat myself to that new fs that I ‘need’
So I’ve had a few demos on the Whyte T-130 and am pretty sold but can’t decide which model/ year to go for.
I’ve never ridden a 1×11 and am struggling to get a demo on one for comparison and with the whytes you can’t change back to 2×11 if you don’t get on with it. Option are:

    1) 2015 T-130s reduced from £2300 to £1980. Rev forks, 2×10 etc

    2) 2016 T-130s, revs, 1×11 £2299 with 0% interest available

    3) Last years T-130 scr Works reduced from £3000 to £2500 pikes, 1×11

Note that the geometry on the T130 is slightly ‘longer’ for 2016

The works has a different back end to the “s”. Supposedly stiffer

Thanks guys. I think I’m correct in saying last years works has the same frame as this years s? I’m thinking the extra spec such as forks, wheels and tyres alone make the works better value for money. Only reservation is the 1×11. I run 2×10 on my handrail and very rarely use the granny ring. I’m sure this has been covered before but are the gear ratios roughly the same on 1×11?
