contemplating next bike – the above has cropped up in various discussions- how does it compare to the Boardman CX, or the Genesis Croix de Fer or Vapour disk? or Cube Reaction 29er…..?

what are the main differences/reasons to choose one over the other? Will be used for short road and canal path (currently very muddy) commute, and maybe as bike to nip to the shops on – will not be doing regular road trips on it, though one-offs are a possibility – am not a roadie…..

Singular Gryphon is a similar beast but IM (somewhat biased) O, a nicer bike and cheaper.
