Got a new frame on the way with an S3 direct mount front mech fitting.

Been looking for front mechs for it but can only find Sram’s.

Do Shimano make anything that’ll fit?
Or is there a Sram mech that’ll work with a Shimano 3×10 front shifter?

I think i have one in the shed off my pitch – shimano LX – hardly used. Any good?

Anyone else want to add anything?
I know you could mix and match front shifters and mech with 9 speed stuff.

But can you still do it with 10 speed?

I think the S3 mount is found on E-tyoe bottom bracket mount Shimano mechs? You just unbolt it from the bb mounting plate?

Perhaps check that on google but that’s what I’m hoping is the case for my Lapierre!

OK I’ve just got an email back from the frame designer.

Apparently you can use a E type mech.
But you have to remove the mounting plate, drill out a nut and shim one of the mounts out.
