It’s a tricky one… on the one hand, Russell Brand is pretty loaded and at a glance, a VIP area does seem to fly in the face of what an austerity march represents, but at the same time, there is always the possibility of aggressive protestors and someone with a public profile like Brand may be a target for violence.

Fair play to him though, he has the balls to use his fame to highlight issues that the Mainstream Media is more than happy to gloss over:
