I was think of keeping something in the boot of the car for ad-hoc rides and maybe a Brompton might be the answer might be used to go to the gym also as i do not want to leave any bike outside.
Just wondering which is the most rugged Brompton might be?

They’re all pretty much the same. The main difference between them is gears, mudguards, rack and handlebars

Presumably you can store it upright (folded), rather than on its side? Will probably be happier like that if you can bungy it, but will be fine on its side too

They are tough as old boots. Pretty much maintenance free, ot at least mine has been. Get an S model and stick some risers on it for the best riding position.
