Anyone know where I can get the above, for my son.

Lots on-line, but I want him to be able to try it on.

Where abouts are you? There’s a cracking place near me but I won’t tell you if you are just going to try it on and then buy online. 🙂

Is it union or league? This place stocks both.

I’m in East Manchester on the Gtr Mcr and Yorkshire border. I’m happy to pay in a shop and would much prefer to do so, really so he gets a top that fits him well.

Slaters in Ashton-in-Makerfield. Bit of a drive but I’d heartily recommend it. Good guy in there too. Mention he is in a club and you may get discount. Not Saddleworth he plays for is it?

That’s where we live, but he’s playing for/training with St Annes in Oldham until he’s older.

How old? My lad plays for Newton Storm U9s. In fact just checked the fixture list and we’ve got your club at home on Sept 29th!

Seriously recommend Slaters. Nice place, proper customer service.

He’s nearly 16, so plays with the club because Saddleworth didn’t have an under 16 set-up. He seems to have a growing interest and at that age needs the same kit as all his team-mates, so the armour thing is important to him.

I’ll try to get over to A-i-M for a look; like you say, it’s important to support shops like that one. Cheers!

If you happen to get to Leeds, Bulldog Sports at the back of Yorkshire tv on Burley Road are good. Also the sports shop in the mill outlet place at Batley are rugby specialists.

Is there not a Sports Direct near you?

The larger branches usually stock loads of rugby kit.

Find SD OK for training stuff and base layers but with body armour you need to be sure if fits properly. League in the North is full contact from U7s onwards, don’t want the stuff moving about or not doing its job properly. I’d rather get it from someone who knows what they are talking about.
