Possibly thinking about the standard compound £15 tyre with wire rims run tubeless on Flows. Probably the 2.4″ with the Apex sidewalls. Will they be up to it though…?

I’m thinking the same but with Arch Ex rims. Going to fit them this week and then try them out on my normal ride this weekend.

The plasticy non black chili compounds are pretty poor, I wouldn’t ruin an alps trip for the sake of trying to save some money on a tyre.

Intense 909s are well priced in CRC at the minute, I will be trying out a pair of the sticky rubber finest!

Get a pair of On One Chunky Monkey 2.4s instead, about the same price and way better carcass and compounds.
