A while back I bought a pair RR pro gloves from crc. They were nice and cheap, and I must say I really liked the fit. However, on my first ride with them (100yrds to the shop) the stitching along the palm bust. I contacted CRC who gave me a refund and let me keep the gloves which I thought was excellent as I got out the needle and thread and repaired the offending seam.

Next ride out, the other glove split open at the top of the thumb. Now, sense would tell me to stay away from RR gloves but I do like the fit and they are cheap. Am I the only one to experience shoddy quality and it was just a dodgy pair, or do they generally make duff products best avoided?

I’ve had a pair of Royal racing mercury gloves for 2 weeks, and the velcro tab has come unglued already. Still usable but very disappointing; won’t be buying any royal again.
