    long shot chaps,

i’ve got the best part of an evening in tiree, then most of the day in coll to kill. Any point in taking the mountain bike – does anyone know any routes on either of those? I don’t have OS maps to hand of those islands so not too sure… Maybe better with the road bike perhaps?

    any advice etc …

    cheers

Go for a walk on the beach or if you’re into wind surfing, you’ve found heaven!
I’d use a road bike if you insist on cycling. The head winds could be a bit of a bugger ‘though.
Both amazing islands. Enjoy them for what they are… totally unique.

Tiree – road bike, do a lap and go up the (only) hill with the satellite thingy on top for some views.

Coll – road bike and go and find/hear some Corn Crakes – they should be starting to crake away now…..then go and have some beer and seafood in the pub!

Tiree is amazing. Cycle lap is ok but there are nicer things to do. Walk by Hynish and headland is pretty good.

    Great views to skerryvore lighthouse
