    Dear All

in haste ive rounded off one of the bolts on my stem that clamps the bars in place!!

Any suggestiong for how i remove it? there isn’t much of the head exposed and i really dont want to have to snap it and drill it out!!

Also, where can i cheaply source a replacemnt?

    thanks in advance….

drill head off, remove face plate – shoudl be enough of the rest of the bolt showing to get a set of molegrips on it or clamp in a vice.

Try a slightly bigger Allen Key. So if it’s a 5mm bolt try a 5.5mm if you can get hold of one. If it’s not totally rounded off then it might be enough.

eBay flogs plenty of bolts if you are sure of the size, ie thread diameter, probably 5mm or 6mm (equates to M5 or M6) and the length of the thread (not including the head). So you’d probably want a, for example, M6 x 15 bolt.

Failing that the local bolt company should have them.
