    Thanks for everyone’s help.

If you don’t ride out to Sandwood bay you are daft.

    But of course.

(after I’ve aligned the tyre/rim logos, weeded the patio and trimmed the grass 🙂 )

Great stuff, did you get a big cassette?

Aye. WiFLi deral and a 12-32 cassette specced. 😀

Probably overkill, but I figured I can always spend £40 and swap in a different cassette later if need be. At least this way I have one less excuse when I get left for dust on the hills 😀

    Fair one!

At least you know your kit hasnt held you back if you do have to get off and push though.

If you live somewhere fairly flat, I reckon a 25toother would do you right.

Yeah 25 or 28 tooth would probably be plenty for gadding about here.
But I just mentioned my gear choice to my roadie mate and he said:

“Some of the hills we ride and will ride in May will not be spinners. Even the lowest gear will be a grind!”

So a 32 may prove to be a good call. 😕

In may? Perhaps they’ve entered you in the Fred Whitton?
Is your name on the list….
