running some of it never even crossed my mind, i’m there to ride the bike through it all. as i’m slow(2m 31s for that stage) actual times don’t really matter that much to me.

As I picked my bike out of the gloop on that stage I watched a guy come down the trail and he was powering it. No avoiding of shiney roots, no delicate dancing or mincing around to avoid muddy bits, just power down and through.
