Small crack in my roofbox – hoping I can apply some tape to the inside to at least make it almost waterproof

Any suggestions as to what tape to use that isn’t going to peel off every 5 minutes?

A decent car body repair shop could weld it but to be honest id just duck tape it, if you don’t want the crack to propagate then drill out the ends with a 1-2mm bit.

I think you can get some Duck tape for about eight quid…

Look up plastic and fibreglass repairers in your area. A fairing on a Ducati 900ss only cost me £15 to be repaired and a further £40 for re-spray if you want it. Results were perfect.

Are they fibreglass or vinyl, these things? Plastic welding’s actually a really simple technique, either with heat or solvent but you need to know that it’s a material that’ll work.
