In the first instance for a roof box that connects with quick lock u bolts

I have some Thule bike Carriers that might get used at some point. These are currently set up to clamp round bars not use a groove and T nut thing

Also surf boards but that is easy

No desire to spend more money than necessary

I think you want basic square section bars plus footpack to clamp to the rails, like THESE

I have some Thule bars with a universal rail foot. If your anywere near Woodbridge in Suffolk you can have them for £30.

Wilburt I think I’m too far away

I’ve managed fine with a basic pair of Cruz square roof bars for £40 – bike carriers, roof boxes and kayaks.
