Rock Mountain Altitude 50, Anyone got any opinions ? Better still does anyone have one. Reviews say it is a neutral bike with a bias towards climbing with the steep seat angle. I have always fancied a Rocky and whilst I admit its not the prettiest 140mm bike out there but the reports that it climbs so well is making me err toward it. Dont know why but I am a brand tart, and I just think havng a Rocky Mountain sat in my garage would make me feel warm and fuzzy 🙂
My other options are a Meta 5.5 UK (a tad heavy) Lapierre Zesty 314 or 514 (780mm (nearly 32″ standover for a small frame size !!!!)
One other factor is that I can get the Rocky locally with the support and service from a LBS either of the other two would mean mail order big boys.
All these plus points seem to point me toward the RM, however if the bikes a dog, then theres no point
