Having seen toons fall on Flickr and break the remote due to it being mounted above the bar. (as per normal)

the question is :-

If I want to mount the lever BELOW the bar on the LEFT do i order a right lever?

I believe the answer is yes. Toons has done that himself. I am going to later today when I fit mine. That fall still brings a smile to my face 😀

I don’t use a front shifter and right handed lever works a treat on left side outboard of brake lever under bar

Mine site inbetween the shifter & brake. It’s a smidge out of reach for normal hand placement, but its way better underneath. How it made it past the ‘how about we put it on top of the bars’ thought process i’ll never know.

And yes, you need a RHS one to put under the bars on the left.

If I lose my front shifter I could have perfect placement – maybe it’s an incentive to get fitter…

why can you not operate on the fly Toons?

I couldn’t get the remote inboard enough (I’m running formula mixmasters) or I’ve got short thumbs!
