    Hi All,

Trying to find a cheap’ish fork for a GT Avalanche at the moment. Advice seems to be not to go above 100mm of travel, which in itself is a big step up from the 63mm Suntour!

I have seen some Recon forks around in Solo Air but with 130mm of travel, this sounds like it would be too much for the frame…

So question is, can the travel on the Recons be reduced and if so is it easy enough to do?

    Cheers,

    Chris

yes you can.dead easy to do.
all you need is a 30mm spacer and the 5 and 15 wt oils.
