I’ve got a 2009 Pitch which came with a Rockshox pike 327 fork upfront. It only has rebound and u-turn adjustment and I’ve recently added an extra firm spring. I’ve been offered a blackbox motion control unit and was wondering if fitting one is simply a case of removing the top cap on the right side of the fork and screwing in the unit?

    Cheers for any advice

Just the compression assembly? If so undo the damper and pull it out carefully so not to lose any oil then replace and tighten.

I believe so. On the higher end forks like the 454 etc the moco damper is on the upper right fork leg however on the 327 there’s just a top cap in its place. So you mean just undo this placeholder so to speak and insert the actual moco unit?
