    Has anyone cobbled a set of 29er forks together with a std fork as a donor, thinking along the lines of getting a set of 29er lowers, & putting in the uppers from some old Revs I have (same size stanchions I think). 😕

    Of course you are all aware that according to the cycle industry importers and retailers of this fair land, there is no real market for 29ers in this country and therefore no need or indeed commercial benefit to them in importing forks or indeed in some cases frames and bikes in the aforementioned size.

    🙄

    @the Swede

    So a set of Float 29er lowers will just slide onto a 100mm F100 will it? Does it matter which year? Does the travel stay the same? What about oil levels.

    Very excited.

    Joe – £30 posted.
    They are silver and have a few scrapes and scratches as expected from a used fork.

    Hi Tazzy! Bit late on this thread but could you possibly email me the guide on fork modification? Many thanks, email should be in profile. I have some nice 26er revs, where would i get a set of 29er lowers from?
    Cheers

    Well I took the easy route & picked up some s/h maxle Teams, but seeing this pop up again I though I’d point out something I’ve noticed…it looks like all they have done is moved all the gubbins upwards inside the lower legs by 30mm. If you look up the legs it looks the same as a 26″ fork, just offset upwards. If that any help.
