    Hi
    I have an old (but in great nick) rockhopper, thinking of removing the granny and large ring and using it as a 1×7. Doesn’t get used much apart from a quick blast out when I need to leave it locked somewhere as I don’t want to leave my main bike unattended.
    Or do I just single speed it? I need a chain guide (£16) from super star or I can get a s/s kit and a tensioner for £20, but not sure what size to get 14/16/18t.
    Decisions.
