Thinking about some new tyres, and having some money in my paypal account thought about these.

Does anyone have any comments as to how they perform, this would be a general XC tyre, XC being riding uphill more than downhill.

What are the differences between the different versions.

would class rocket rons as a pure racing tyre – not or this time of year!

i rode ralphs which handle most things apart from deep mud.

Ditto the above, Ron is a very lightweight carcass so prone to sidewall rips or splits. If you do get them bare in mind that they come up quite small. 2.25 is more a 2.1 and 2.1 is more 1.9.

I’d go Ralph or Nic for all round use, mud is a bit heavy for Ralph at mo though. My fav’s are 2.25 Ralph with the Snakeskin sidewalls for general use.

i ran a rocket ron/nobby nic combo on wednesday in very muddy conditions and actually thought it was ok on the back, bit squirmy on the front in these condiditons.
