    Hi

My 426 Pikes have started clicking on every downstroke ??

any ideas what it is ?

does the motion control need servicing or is it the travel adjust ?

    Thanks

Is this a coil fork? If so it could be the spring deflecting and knocking the inside of the stantion. This is very common and sounds like a click. To check if it is the spring causing the noise, unscrew the spring from the crown and compress the fork. If you hear nothing it is probably the spring.

    yeah, its a coil fork..

read a few other reports on the net about the same thing.

i’ll check, is there anyway to cure ?

Mine do it from time to time depending on what travel I’m running them at.
    Nowt to worry about.

Think there’s something on TF tuned website about this. My air revs did it when I had them u turned down. Sent them back (still waiting). Might be normal but on mine it was quite severe.

Mine do it sometimes if the travel adjust is ‘between clicks’.

i cover my springs in thick grease to prevent this. Seems to work. I’ve also heard of people stretching an old pair of tights(!) over the spring to stop it knocking against the tube.
