I love Zep and love Plant’s solo stuff; he’s got a real canon of work now that stacks up with anyones from that era. Plus he’s a really really sound bloke it seems.
I loved fate of nations and then all the strange sensation/sensational space shifter stuff. Plus the Unledded album from 1994, with the best version of Kashmir you can get in my opinion, with the massive Egyptian orchestra – awesome
page seems to have accepted that Zep was his high point so is just concerned with curating their legacy whereas Plant (and JPJ) are just into making new music.
I’m glad to see that Plant is sticking with his band and particularly Justin Adams as he knows he’s onto a good thing. I’m so glad he didn’t follow the money and tour as Led zep after the 2007 reunion
re 6music gig – so great to see the reworking of ‘the lemon song’ – I was dancing round the room to that with my 1 year old
