I have just sent in the forms for my Cycle to Work scheme and had set my heart on the Boardman Team, but Boardman have just released a special edition here
This would be a downgrade in groupset from 105 to Tiagra but the frame would change from Alu to Carbon.

The only real downgrade I can see is the shifters, the rest of the spec changes are neither here nor there. I’d go for the Carbon frame personally, there doesn’t seem much compromise to get it. The carbon frame should take a bit more buzz out of the ride and is a shade lighter. You could turn it into quite a light bike with some choice parades in the future.

Decent quality carbon frame for £1k, its a no brainer.
