Got continental Force tyre on the back which is 24mm, will i notice any difference going down to a 23 (conti gp 4000s) on the bumpy roads of the lakes (eg comfort, puncture resistance etc) as the 23’s are quite a bit cheaper!

I needed new tyres rececntly and ending up buying 23mm instead of 25mm. On glass smooth tarmac they might have felt slightly faster…. on the other 99% of roads I couldn’t tell any difference at all…

depends what pressure you run them at

I run 23mm gp4000s tires on the bumpy roads of the lakes. I usually run 100psi, and I think Ive punctured once in the year I’ve used them. You’ll be ok!

I run 23 conti gp4000s and live in the lakes and find them the best tyre I’ve used thus far. Great in dry and brill in the wet(which is a big + when your doing the passes a lot). I suppose a stiff alloy bike might feel harsh on them but most carbon frames and handlebars take so much of the road vibration away the tyre size don’t matter.
