I’m dropping my daughter and friends off at Alton Towers on Sunday and then picking them up again later in the day.
Rather than drive there and back twice in one day, I was planning on going for a road or mountain bike ride nearby.
Is there any nice road or mountain bike routes that anybody could recommend or would I be better driving down to Cannock Chase?
I imagine they’re going to want to arrive as soon as it opens and stay as late as they can so I envisage I can be out riding for most of the day.

Cannock is about 30 mins away so OK, you are also getting on to the edge of the peaks round there so some good road and MTB riding to be had not too far away

I’m right next door the Dark Peak hustler although I’ve done very little in the White Peak area. Mostly around Calver, Bakewell, Eyam and Chatsworth when I have been. Thanks for the reply.
