A mate of mine is in the market for a new road wheelset. He’s considering these Hunt wheels. Has anyone any experience of these wheels or could recommend a similar alternative?
He’s also probably going down the route of the additional option of Schwalbe Pro One tubeless fitted & set-up as part of the package.

Hunt Wheels

Mine have been great.
Bought the disc version of the above for a possible change to a disc road bike.
Currently being used on my cross bike and handling the race season fine.
Robust and light!
A great package as well with tubeless valves and q/r included.

I’ve had one ride on my 4 season road disc wheels. Can’t complain so far and the build quality feels good so far on top of them being impressively light at the price.

Great wheels, totally transformed my Tripster for road riding

sorry, just wrote a load of irrelevant stuff about carbon wheels…

I’ve been using a pair of American Classic Hurricane Road Disc wheels on my Stoater, with Hutchinson Sector 28 tyres. No problems with them in the last 1500km, and I’m fairly heavy (~100kg).

The Mason ones do look a little better though, and are a bit cheaper too.

For about the same price and weight as the Hunts, I had the following handbuilt:

Stans Grail rims 24 spoke
Novatec disc hubs D771/772
Sapim CX ray spokes & brass nipples.
