I’ve got a brand new Bontrager triple chain set for a road bike and I am wondering if there is any reason whay I shouldn’t fit it to hardtail that I am building up?

Can anyone think of any reasons, I think the ratios are non too bad, so hopefully clearance should be okay. Wathinking more on strength and reliability grounds.

I thought road cranks had a lower Q factor so you may struggle with chainstay clearance.
