S-i-L is after some lights for commuting. Any advice / offers? I’d usually just go down the Cateye route but any others? Not averse to Halfords if they have any deals.

    Thanks.

For on the bike it will depend on the route – does he need to see where he is going or just be seen by other traffic. Usual rule of thumb is one light flashing and one light fixed at either end.

I’m a big fan of the little smart light sets on my helmet for additional higher level visibility. Currently £2.50 at on one.

If she needs to see the the Cree lights on ebay are awesome. Very cheap, easily as powerful as far more expensive lights.

If she needs to be seen then ASDA, two packs of flashing lights.
I have two rear lights from ASDA which are about two years old. I replace the batteries once a year whether they need it or not and they get used every day. One of them needs some sealant as the rubber seal has got a bit loose.

There are soem good deals on Lezyne lights at the moment. I picked up a Micro for the front and it’s great.

All in one unit, rubber bracket, USB charging, light, 5 modes. £18.
