Bit embarrassed I need to ask, never replaced anything on my road bike before other than tyres.

Are all Shimano break pads compatible with each other?

Pads on my Tiagra breaks are dead. Will any Shimano pad be OK?

Failing that, can you recommend a good all weather pad? Breaks are a from a 2005 Tiagra group set.

    Cheers

Swiss Stop are by far the best I’ve used. Expensive but you do get 4 in a set.

Happy to upgrade if they are better.

Would I need ones that are Tiagra specific or are all road pads compatible.

Are your pads cartridge? I would guess not if it’s older Tiagra. Would be worth upgrading so you can just slot in new pads the next time you need to replace them.
