    Transferring components from alloy to carbon frame.

    On the alloy frame the hole for the rear brake is the same dia as the calliper bolt. On the carbon frame the hole is the same dia as the recessed nut. Presumably I need a recessed nut almost long enough to go all the way through?

    Yes – that’s normal. You can buy the nuts in a variety of lengths.
