My road bike keeps breaking front wheel spokes…… It’s 18 months old …. Felt F95 ….. This year it’s now broken 5 spokes….. What could be causing this ?

The rear hasn’t broken any …

Metal fatigue ? Incorrect tensions ?

    Aluminium nipples?

Personaly I’d rebuild the wheel or just replace it

Unless you keep hitting pot holes

Alluminiun spokes corrode and weaken especially if you’ve ridden through the winter. They’ll crack and create pressure points on the threaded end of the spoke and they will eventually snap. I had the same problem, replaced all nipples for brass and not had another snapped spoke.

Crap spokes, haven’t been dealing with Felt for long, but had a lot of spoke and nipple breakages already.
