  • Road 1×10/11 – any need for thick/thin chainrings or chainguards?

    Apart from the most obvious answer of “try it and find out” I’d prefer not to keep scraping a chain down my nice shiney chainset/frame…

    but anyone had real problems with just going one chainring at the front on a road bike? The winter bike is getting a clean and overhaul ready for the darker months and just wondering if I need to muck around with aforementioned dropstop type rings etc.
