I bought it as a full bike without test riding it!! and it is too big for me!

So you have the receipt for warranty purposes?

    drewster007

Yes! as you will know all dales have a life time warranty! it was purchased from Evans cycles just before christmas!
any further questions on the validity of the post!

Cannondales have a lifetime warranty to the original owner. I.E it’s not transferrable. You can obviously get around this if you can pass on the receipt at time of sale. Allegedly. 😯

I know of people that have got away with it but it is not bombproof! it would help if you have a friendly dale dealer!!

So you spent at least £3499 on a bike without checking it for size?

can I nominate you for a Darwin award? 😀

    drewster007

No i did not spend £3500 on it!! but that is not the issue and no i have replaced the lefty with a pair of 2009 fox 150mm 32s with 15mm bolt! i have also replaced the seat post with a joplin and the wheels with hope hoops along with loads of other stuff!

    Would you like photos!

RudeBoy> how the **** does this look interesting? i have asked a simple question all i would like is an answer!
i have often wonder why i have not joined a forum before and you people are proving my theory on them correct.

if you have nothing constructive to add please don’t bother!

As far as checking for size! i went on the shop and manufacturers recommendations and as it turns out the bottom bracket stands a little high for my style of riding!

    I’d like to see photos!

welcome to STW by the way! 🙂

Well that means you spent more. Carbon ones with a Lefty start at £4699.

Fitting a 150mm Fox would have raised the BB height even more as the Lefty on these gives 130mm of travel.

    Which dealer did you use?

Yeah, me too. A mate of mine’s after a decent frame, actually. Flash git wants something carbon! Might be just right for him.

The fox 32 150s are only 3mm longer than stock 140mm

On road for about 3 1/2 miles the tires still have the moulding nobles on them,

What you should have done is take it back to Evans. They are pretty good at swopping the used parts over to a smaller bike and putting the new parts on the large frame just as long as the frame you have has no damage and it can be resold as new.

how do i go about loading photos on to this forum?

    RudeBoy

Just texted me mate; he might well be interested in this. Gonna need to see detailed pics, though, like around headtube, under BB area, joins, etc. something like this won’t be cheap, and short of actually seeing it ‘in the flesh’, he’s gonna need assuring it’s 100% in working order.

Just out of interest, where are you based? Possible to view the frame?

do you have a photobucket account? that what I use 🙂

I have been in to Evans and to put it bluntly they where quite unhelpful, not in the shop but at a head office level.
