But the bearings eventually seize and Ritchey's stock answer is "return them to a dealer for servicing". No thanks – I prefer something I can service myself. I still like the Micro Road version. They get an easier life than MTB stuff, so might be worth a punt.

Oh – a Ritchey cleat will work in a Shimano pedal, but your not guaranteed that the opposite is true.

The outland ones are pretty good too, the Elites are proper spangly with sealed bearings and nice and cheap on the bay

I had/have some of the wcs ti jobbies,light and expensive. Then the bearings started feeling not right. To get at the bearings i needed to open the Allen key nut which is placed conveniently on the end of the pedal and made of cheese thus prone to damage and round off.

i had some v4 pro's, they looked great and were light but i went back to shimano when they seized up!

To be fair to Ritchey, I'm sure I read somewhere that the new versions are user-serviceable.
